ABOUT THE PIECE
Dune began with Crete — olive fields, sun-warmed air, and the particular ease you carry home long after you have left. We wanted a trench that held that feeling: calm, protective, quietly certain of itself.
It is cut in one size, and that is a decision rather than a shortcut. The volume is placed to sit well on different natural figures — to respect a body rather than ask it to become an ideal one. The cloth is soft in the hand yet structured enough to hold its own line, so the coat stays composed worn over a suit or over jeans.
The stand collar makes a small private space around the face — a little quiet from the world when you want it. The cuffs finish it with discipline.
Season
Spring and autumn, from around +18°C down to +8°C depending on what you wear beneath. Wind-protective, breathable, at ease indoors and out.

Main fabric
Lining
A tightly woven twill, developed for outerwear in the late nineteenth century and used for trench coats ever since. The yarn is dyed before it is woven, and the weave is dense enough to hold wind while still letting the cloth breathe.
What it gives a coat is structure. Gabardine holds a line rather than draping, which is why the silhouette stays composed after a full day rather than collapsing into folds.
Ours is untreated — no water-repellent finish, nothing applied to the surface. The 2% elastane is there for recovery, so the fabric returns to itself instead of keeping creases. The Italian lining is breathable, which is what keeps the trench comfortable indoors as well as out.

Dune is cut from premium cotton gabardine and finished with a breathable Italian lining. To keep its line, its softness and its structure for years, we recommend the following.
Clean only when needed
A trench does not need frequent cleaning. For a full refresh, professional cleaning preserves the shape and the finish.
Spotclean first
For small marks, blot gently with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing. If a cleanser is needed, choose a mild one and test it on an inside seam first.
Air between wears
Hang the trench after wearing and let it breathe in a ventilated space, away from direct sunlight.
Brush for dust
A soft natural-bristle garment brush lifts dust and keeps the surface of the cloth crisp.
Steam to restore the silhouette
Light steaming is the gentlest way to release folds and travel creases. If pressing is needed, use low to medium heat with a pressing cloth.
If it gets wet
Dune is not water-repellent. If it becomes damp, let it air-dry naturally, away from radiators and direct heat.
Store with intention
Use a wide wooden or padded hanger to support the shoulders. Out of season, store it in a breathable garment bag — never plastic — in a cool, dry place.
Protect the lining
Avoid soaking and never tumble-dry. Heat and agitation distort the outer fabric and the lining alike.
Cotton gabardine is made to be lived in — the more thoughtfully you care for it, the more beautifully it holds its presence.
FAQ
Will one size fit me?
Dune is cut with generous volume — 133 cm around the chest and 56 cm across the shoulders — so it sits well on a wide range of figures. The place to check is the shoulders: if yours are broader than about 45 cm, the drop will read differently, though not badly. Full measurements are in the Size Guide, and if you send us yours we will tell you honestly what we think.
How long is it, and will it be too long for me?
146 cm from shoulder to hem. It is a long coat by design, cut to fall full length between 167 and 178 cm. Below that it sits lower still — some women want exactly that, others find it too much. If you are under 167 cm, write to us before ordering.
Can I have it shortened?
Yes, and it takes to alteration well. We would ask you to be certain first — a shortened piece can no longer be returned. Once you are sure, any good tailor can do it, and we will gladly explain how the hem is built.
Is it waterproof?
No. Dune is not treated to repel water. The gabardine is dense and wind-protective, and it will carry you through drizzle, but it is not a rain coat. If it gets wet, hang it to dry naturally away from heat and it will recover its shape.
When can I wear it?

Can I wear a knit underneath?
Yes. The bicep measures 59 cm and the body is cut wide, so a mid-weight knit fits without pulling at the shoulder. A heavy chunky knit will work too, though the sleeve will feel closer.
Will the beige stay clean?
Cotton gabardine is denser than it looks and resists marking better than most light fabrics. A soft brush after wearing does most of the work. For small marks, blot with a barely damp cloth rather than rubbing — this is in our care guide.
Does it wrinkle?
Very little. The 2% elastane in the weave helps the fabric recover, and travel creases release with light steaming or a night on a wide hanger.
How often does it need cleaning?
Rarely. A trench worn over other clothes needs professional cleaning perhaps once at the end of a season, and only if it is actually soiled. Airing and brushing between wears does more for it than cleaning does.
When will it arrive?
Dune is in stock. Orders are packed and handed to the courier within 1–2 business days, then 2–5 business days across the EU.
What if it isn't right when it arrives?
You have 14 days to change your mind, no reason needed, and we refund the price along with the standard delivery cost. Return postage is yours. Try it on as you would in a fitting room — that costs you nothing.
Why only one size?
Because we make small runs by hand, and grading a coat across six sizes would mean either producing far more than we can, or making fewer designs. We chose to put the volume into a cut that works on many bodies instead.
