Shipping policy

Âme Dare pieces are released in small, limited batches. Each garment is completed, inspected and packed before it leaves us — the time it takes is part of how it is made.

This policy applies to all orders placed on www.amedare.com and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Production

We work largely to order. Rather than hold finished stock, we cut and sew a piece once it has been bought — which is what allows us to work in the fabrics we do, at the scale we do.

If a piece is available from the current batch, it is prepared for dispatch directly.

If it is not, it is made for you. Please allow up to 14 business days. Every garment passes a full quality check before it is released.

Making a piece to order does not affect your right to withdraw from the contract, and no piece is excluded from return — see our Returns & Refunds Policy. Payment is taken when we begin making your piece, so cancelling before then costs you nothing.

Dispatch

Once a piece has passed final inspection it is packed and handed to the courier within 1–2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.

Dispatch time is separate from production time.

Delivery Times

Orders are shipped with UPS, DHL or DPD, depending on destination. The times below are counted from dispatch and do not include production.

Express shipping is offered where available. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees — customs procedures and local courier operations can extend them. If delivery is substantially delayed, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

Shipping Costs, Duties and Taxes

Shipping is calculated at checkout, based on destination and method. Where free shipping applies, it is shown on the website.

Within the EU. The price you pay at checkout includes VAT. There is nothing further to pay on delivery.

United Kingdom. For orders with a value of £135 or less, UK VAT is charged at checkout and there is nothing further to pay. For orders above £135, import VAT and any customs duty are assessed by UK customs on delivery and are payable by you.

Other destinations outside the EU. Customs duties, import taxes and brokerage or clearance fees are assessed by the local customs authority, vary by country, and are payable by you. They are not included in product prices or shipping rates. Please check your local rules before ordering.

If you refuse a parcel because of customs charges and it is returned to us, we refund the price of the goods less the outbound shipping cost and any charges the carrier passes on to us.

Tracking

Every order is shipped with tracking; your number arrives by email at dispatch.

Tracking updates are managed by the courier — scan times and their accuracy are outside our control.

Delivery Address

Please check your address carefully before confirming your order. Once a parcel has shipped the address cannot be changed.

If a delivery fails because the address was incomplete or incorrect and the parcel returns to us, we will contact you to arrange reshipment; the cost of the second dispatch is payable by you. If you prefer, we will refund the order instead, less the outbound shipping cost.

Risk

Risk of loss and damage passes to you when you, or a person you have nominated other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods. Until then it is ours.

If Something Goes Wrong

Damaged, lost and non-conforming parcels are dealt with in Part B of our Returns & Refunds Policy. In short: tell us as early as you can, because it helps us pursue the courier — but there is no deadline that costs you your rights.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural events, strikes, carrier failures and customs procedures. Where a delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund.

Changes and Cancellations

Write to us at contact@amedare.com as early as you can. You may cancel free of charge at any time before dispatch, and for 14 days after delivery, as set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
