A long black trench coat in an Italian cotton-silk blend, built around a high standing collar that holds its own shape, framing the neck whether the coat is closed or left open. The front wraps and fastens with concealed snaps, so the closure disappears into the line of the cloth. Sleeves are cut wide and full, falling away from the shoulder rather than following it. A self-tie belt draws the waist when definition is wanted; released, the coat returns to a long, unbroken column. A back vent keeps the length walkable. Handcrafted in Warsaw in limited quantity.

Early autumn through mild winter. Layer it over knitwear as temperatures drop.

DETAILS & CARE

Designed and handcrafted in Warsaw, Poland

The trench is cut from a cotton-silk blend and finished with a full viscose lining. To keep its line, its softness and its structure for years, we recommend the following.

Clean only when needed

A trench does not need frequent cleaning. For a full refresh, professional dry cleaning preserves the shape and the finish.

Blot small marks first

For small marks, blot gently with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing. If a cleanser is needed, choose a mild one and test it on an inside seam first.

Air between wears

Hang the coat after wearing and let it breathe in a ventilated space, away from direct sunlight.

Brush for dust

A soft natural-bristle garment brush lifts dust and keeps the surface of the cloth crisp.

Steam to restore the silhouette

Light steaming is the gentlest way to release folds and travel creases. Avoid direct ironing on the outer fabric.

Mind the closure

The concealed snap closure and self-tie belt should be fastened loosely when storing, to avoid pulling on the seam.

Store with intention

Use a wide hanger to support the shoulders and let the belt hang free. Out of season, store it in a breathable garment bag — never plastic — in a cool, dry place.

Protect the lining

Avoid soaking and never tumble-dry. Heat and agitation distort the outer fabric and the lining alike.

Cotton and silk are made to be lived in — the more thoughtfully you care for it, the more beautifully it holds its presence.

FAQ

Which size should I choose?

The trench is cut with generous volume, so choose by length and shoulders rather than by your usual size. From S to L it measures 144, 146 and 149 cm from shoulder to hem, and 55, 56 and 57 cm across the shoulders. Full measurements are in the Size Guide, and if you send us yours we will tell you honestly what we think.

How long is it, and will it be too long for me?

It is a long coat by design: 144 cm in S, 146 cm in M and 149 cm in L, from shoulder to hem. The simplest check is to compare it with a long coat you already own. If you are unsure, write to us before ordering.

Is it good for tall women?

Yes. It is cut long, and size L measures 149 cm from shoulder to hem.

How is it different from Dune?

The same cut and the same three sizes, in a different cloth. Dune is cotton gabardine, structured and beige; this one is cotton with silk, softer in the hand and black.

Can I have it shortened?

Yes, and it takes to alteration well. We would ask you to be certain first — a shortened piece can no longer be returned. Once you are sure, any good tailor can do it, and we will gladly explain how the hem is built.

What fabric is used?

88% cotton with 12% silk, woven in Italy, fully lined in viscose. The silk is what gives the surface its quiet lustre.

Where is it made?

Designed and handcrafted in Warsaw, Poland, in limited quantity.

Is it waterproof?

No. The trench is not treated to repel water. The cotton-silk blend is dense enough to carry you through drizzle, but it is not a rain coat. If it gets wet, hang it to dry naturally away from heat and it will recover its shape.

When can I wear it?

Early autumn through mild winter, layered over knitwear as temperatures drop. The cotton breathes, so it stays comfortable indoors as well as out.

Can I wear a knit underneath?

Yes. The sleeves are cut wide and full, so a mid-weight knit fits without pulling at the shoulder. A heavier knit will work too, though the sleeve will feel closer.

Does the fabric crease?

Cotton with silk takes soft creases through the day that steam out completely. It does not hold sharp folds.

How often does it need cleaning?

Rarely. A trench worn over other clothes needs professional cleaning perhaps once at the end of a season, and only if it is actually soiled. Airing and brushing between wears does more for it than cleaning does.

When will it arrive?

Look just above the Add To Bag button. If it says Available To Ship, we send your order the day after you place it. If it shows a date, your piece is being made for you and we ship it by that date. Delivery across the EU then takes 2–5 business days.
